Dr. Gerardo Carelli

Dr. Ing. Gerardo Carelli holds a Chemical engineering degree at University of Naples and a Master in Net Business Administration at Politecnico of Milan. He started his career at Centro Ricerche Fiat, dealing with optimization of diesel and gasoline exhaust emission systems ( gasoline catalysts, diesel particulate filters, etc.) implementing turbocharging and supercharging on diesel and gasoline engines, putting in operation of systems for the measurement of regulated and unregulated exhaust emissions, at growing responsibility levels up to the function of International Project Manager for Centro Ricerche Fiat. Afterwards he was Testing Manager at Petronas Italy ( task force of 14 people ), where he dealt with the certification of lubricant oils on different typology of engines and gears for motorcycles, auto, trucks and tractors. He carried out at Fiat Lubrificanti a 5 Mio € new Engine Emission Test Center. In 1996 he moved as Manager Applied Technology Automotive Catalyst Division Italy, to Degussa AG at Hanau ( Frankfurt), applying and optimizing catalyst technologies on Fiat, IVECO, Piaggio and other italian based engine manufacturers. He was Business Team Leader and Technical Director for Italy of UMICORE Automotive Catalysts. Leaving Umicore he founded a Consulting Company in Italy and moved it successively in Germany from where he is at present operating. Dr. Ing.Gerardo Carelli is author and was speaker of many technical papers in international congress in the field of automotive emissions and aftertreatment catalysts.

Ing. Antonello Caraceni

Dr. Ing. Antonello Caraceni graduated maximum cum laude in Mechanical Engineering at University of Naples. He has been worldwide product development director for Electric and electronic at CNHi until the end of 2015. He is an associate of C&Co. from January 2016.
Our clients can benefit of his very high multidiscipline technical skill gained in 30 years of practical experience in design, validation and support of production. Antonello has a great skill in building and leading multi-disciplined and multi-location international teams. He delivered high quality solutions for major programs, product innovations, cost reductions and quality improvements. His career started in 1985 at Aeritalia Aerospace, where he spend two years as resident in McDonnell Douglas in Long Beach in the project “Prop-fan”, in 1990 moved to Fiat USA R&D Engine and Emission in Dearborn Michigan developing engine test procedures and supporting the development of a new three cylinder two strokes direct injection gasoline engine. From January 1993 until December 1995 he led a group of 60 people at Elasis Fiat for developing engine, systems and components performance and reliability, application and calibration in vehicles and testing facilities management. From 1996 to 2007 the number of people reporting to him and his reporting in Elasis Fiat increased progressively and in mid-2007 he was Business Line Director Control Systems & Electronic Integration, with 2 directors, 4 senior chief engineers, 62 design and testing engineers reporting to him and he reported directly to the CEO. The details of the professional experience of Ing. Antonello Caraceni are available in the appendix. For completion of the short description given above, it must be reported that in 2013, Antonello had the position of world wide director of Electrical and Electronic for Agriculture and construction machine at CNH, led a group of about 180 internals and 90 external collaborators in 13 different locations in seven countries and a typical R&D budget of 35 M€. He had fully responsibility for the electrical and electronic systems in terms of design, validation, timing cost and quality targets with more than 200 successful launches of new products over the year.
